With the end of January in sight, it’s time to start prepping for the pinkest day of the year; Valentines Day. I love love, and even more than that, I love expressing my love to the people whom I love. And while one of the easiest ways to do that is with a card, sometimes the traditional Hallmark cards lack the message and aesthetic I am looking for (no offense to Hallmark). With that being said, I introduce you to the cutest Valentines Day Cards I have ever laid eyes on, all from Sugar Paper in Los Angeles. Not in the LA area? That’s okay, you can find their products online too. So be sure to send some love February 14th, because love is all kinds of wonderful.

This Valentine’s Day ditch the expensive dinner dates and try something new… plan your own romantic dinner for two! Sometimes it’s nice to stay home and share a simple evening with the person that you enjoy being around the most.
Decorate your home with candles and tea lights, and turn on the fire for a warm and cozy feel. Next, plan a light and easy menu. I recommend bite size foods and a little bubbly. Top off dinner with decadent premade desserts like chocolate covered strawberries, whipped crème brule moose or make it extra simple by picking up your favorite local dessert to share.
What if dinner is not an option? No problem…. Make a Valentine’s Day breakfast! Use cookie cutters to make heart shaped pancakes, pastries and eggs. Strawberries and raspberries add great holiday color to crepes, and French toast as well. And to top off the breakfast plates, use edible gel to write sweet nothings :-)
